Conventional turner

What you'll be doing:

• You'll be responsible for preparing, configuring and operating a conventional lathe.
• You'll report to the production manager.

Who we are looking for:

• You're educated to technical secondary level or equivalent.
• You're trained in mechanical production technologies/machine tools, or you've got equivalent experience.
• We offer internal training to school leavers or people with little or no experience, but we do expect some prior knowledge, including of different materials and machining techniques.
• You're good at reading plans and interpreting technical drawings (mechanical insight).
• You work accurately, passionately and with a focus on quality.
• You think in terms of solutions, you're eager to learn and you can handle stressful situations.
• You're able to work independently and as part of a team.
• You're sociable and polite.
• You take a flexible approach to your role (overtime).
